It is no secret that many of the small drones used on the battlefield in the Russo-Ukraine War are built in China. They are sold online and used by both sides. Even larger drones like the Mugin have found their way into the conflict. Now that Ukraine has created the market for attack maritime drones (OWA-USVs) Chinese firms are being quick to jump in to the market.
Alibaba and other online markets are becoming awash with small USVs suitable for weaponization. Possibly future conflicts will feature these cheap substitutes. As is often the case with Chinese online offerings, some may be paper designs. Buyer beware!
